Android 13 Review - Is this the Game Changer?
Information regarding new features added to Android OS 13

On May 11, 2022 Google launched Android OS 13 in its event Google I/O '22 and reveal various features and advancements that has been added into the OS. Our team has studied all these updates and made a review in order to find out how these are going to help you in your day to day life. So lets check some of the great features of Android OS 13 and find out whether this one is truly game changer or not.
1. Security and Privacy
Google has made quite the improvements in its security and privacy of Android 13. One of them is the Photo Picker in which you can give access to fewer photos from your library instead of giving full access of the library to the image related apps. Also, Google has made some improvements in their clipboard so if you copy any sensitive data such as email address, phone number etc., Android will automatically clear the clipboard items after a period of time.

2. Permissions
Notification permissions is one of the interesting feature that Google has added to their Android 13 OS. Now you can give permission to the apps to either send you notifications or not. The apps will not send notifications by default. This will save your android device from getting bombarded with unnecessary notifications.

3. Apps Language
This is one of the most requested feature by the Android OS users. Now the users can select specific language for individual apps which is totally different from the phone language. This is the most useful feature for the multilingual users and this feature is easy to use as well.

4. Fast pair
Fast pair is a new feature which has been added to the Android OS. This is an amazing feature that scans the nearby Bluetooth devices such as Bluetooth speakers and gives you alert regarding pairing with the device or not. You don't have to worry about manually pair with the devices.

5. Customization
Last year, Google introduced Material You UI with more customization options such as matching the UI with the background color and this year Google has introduced some new updates in its Material You UI. Now, the app icons can also adopt the color as per the phone wallpaper. In the Wallpaper and Style section, Google has added 16 wallpaper color options and 16 basic color options for more personalization. There is new fingerprint unlocking animation added to the lock screen and many more small tweaks.

The Now Playing Widget is also updated in Android 13 OS. The widget adopts the album art based on the media and their are some minor changes in the buttons look as well.

6. Bluetooth LE and Spatial Audio
Android 13 will now support Bluetooth LE Audio. It is a new audio standard that provides lower latency than the classic audio and it includes less power usage. You will get good quality audio and you can broadcast audio to multiple devices which is helpful when you want to broadcast audio to friends and family.

Also Android 13 support Spatial Audio, so that you will get immersive sound experience on your phone using supportive headsets.
7. Clipboard
Google has made some updates in coping and pasting with the addition of new features in the Clipboard. If you copy a text, then you will notice a box at lower-left corner of the screen with the pencil icon and by clicking on the pencil icon, you can edit the text before pasting it. This is same for the image as well and you can edit, crop or save the image using this feature.

Also, the content in the Clipboard will clear automatically after one hour which takes care our privacy and security.
8. Nearby Device Sharing
Now you can share content within devices more conveniently and with speed using this feature. You just have to copy the content such as text, URL, photo etc., search for nearby device and paste it in other device.

9. Google Wallet
With the Android 13 OS launch, Google has also launched its new Google Wallet. You can hold your virtual credit cards, loyalty cards, transit passes, vaccine cards and many more. You can use Tap to Pay feature on those places where Google Pay is applicable using Google Wallet. You can virtually access your car keys by using the Google Wallet. This is more secure form of wallet as it encrypts your purchases.

So, these are some of the features that Google has introduced in its new Android 13 OS. In this OS update, Google hasn't made much change as compared to the previous Android 12 OS with the introduction of Material UI. This year Google has made some minor changes in its UI along with some minor tweaks which will attract its users and may make this OS a game changer.
