On August 10, 2022 Samsung introduced its Galaxy Z Flip 4 at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event and with a price range of $999 for 128GB variant, $1059 for 256GB variant and $1179 for 512GB variant. This is the new smartphone in the foldable category and Samsung has tried their best to make the users rethink their way of using the smartphones. So let's dig into some of the features that Samsung has introduced in Galaxy Z Flip 4 and find out whether it is worth the price or not.
1. Body
The Flip 4 includes smaller hinge and bolder camera housing than the previous models for better hands on experience.
2. Display
Galaxy Z Fold 4 includes 6.7 inch, 1080 x 2640 pixels display along with 85.4% screen to body ratio. The display comes with Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz with HDR10+. The cover display includes 1.9 inch, 260 x 512 pixels with Super AMOLED and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for better experience.
The cover display makes our daily lifestyle easier as you can easily check notifications, reply to messages, use Samsung pay etc. You can customize your cover screen as well in Flip 4 by changing clock or adding Gifs and many more.

The main camera of Galaxy Z Flip 4 is of 12MP camera for the standard one and 12MP for the ultra wide one. Other features includes dual pixel PDAF and OIS. For recording videos, it includes 4K recording with 30/60fps, 1080p recording with 60/240fps and 720p recording with 920fps. You will also get HDR10+ video recording feature in back camera. The front camera is a single 10MP with features like HDR. You can also record video of 4K quality with 30fps from front camera.
By using FlexCam, you can capture photos and videos from different point of view and more effortlessly. Also, Samsung has improved their night photography by adding more brighter sensors and powerful NPU.
5. Connectivity
Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes with 5G connectivity which makes the internet experience more faster. You will get Bluetooth 5.2 with Wi-Fi 802.11. The GPS is available in the device with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS. You will get NFC connectivity in the device as well.
6. Battery and Memory
In Galaxy Z Flip 4, you will get 3700 mAh non-removable battery with Fast charging of 25W which allows you to charge your phone up to 50% in 30 min. It also includes Fast Wireless charging of 15W and Reverse Wireless charging of 4.5W. You will get Video playback of 19hrs and Audio playback of 56hrs with a single charge.
You will get 3 variants of Flip 4 which are 128GB internal memory with 8GB of RAM, 256GB internal memory with 8GB of RAM and 512GB internal memory with 8GB of RAM along with UFS 3.1. There is no card slot available for adding more space.
7. Sound and Security
In Flip 4 you will get stereo speakers. The 3.5mm headphone jack is not available in the device. Also you will get features like 32-bit/384kHz audio, Tuned by AKG which will make your sound experience better.
8. Other features
- Sensors include fingerprint scanner(side mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer.
- It includes USB type C 2.0 along with USB On-The-Go feature.
- With Flip 4 you can do more things at once such as using Google Meet and watching video at YouTube.
